Greg R.

Town:

The beautiful city of St. Louis

Year of Car:

1963

Model:

400 Series 2 door hardtop

Color:

Black

Body and Exterior:

Just about the only factory sheet metal left on the car is the roof and the deck lid. I replaced the rusted cowl sides and front passenger floor pan and toe board. I had aftermarket full quarters done, replaced the doors and the fenders with originals, and the hood with a Goodmark cowl hood. Had it painted black base/clear. I'm keeping the original hood and deck lid diecast, and putting on the 62 SS fender c-moldings.

Suspension:

5 lug conversion, front disc brakes from donor parts, CPP lower arm kit, Addco 1" sway bar, new shocks, new springs, roller spring perches, idler bearing conversion.

C2Only round tube subframe connectors

Interior:

Not in yet, but will be low-buck red single pleat and roll vinyl.

Wheels and Tires:

Currently 10-hole 'Mod O' steel wheels by Pete Paulsen, 15 x 7, 4 5/8" backspace. 195R-15s front, 215R-15 rear. I have no idea what I will end up with. Deciding on wheels is a nightmare.

Engine and Drivetrain:

The engine is built and bagged, and sitting at my cousin's shop in Oklahoma, waiting for me to pick up. It's a 355 with aluminum heads, air gap intake, and Demon 650 carb. Stewart Stage 2 water pump, Canton oil pan, blueprinted oil pump.

200-4r overdrive transmission, 8.2" 10 bolt, rebuilt with Eaton Posi and 3.73 gears, Moser axles.

Exhaust:

Doug's D-367Y headers, Pypes X-pipe 2.5" exhaust kit

Sound System or Accessories:

Not a huge priority, but most likely a basic head unit with MP3 capability.

Plans include power windows and locks, and Vintage Air A/C

Years Owned:

About 10. Purchased in Kent Washington, in 1998.

Comments or Stories about the Car:

Aside from the bodywork, most of the above is not done, but I have almost all of the parts. If I'm lucky, I might get it back on the road in 2008!
